Keeping your aligners clean during treatment will help you stay healthy and have fresh breath! To clean your Invisalign aligners, you remove them and then rinse them with warm water and a cleanser designed for Invisalign, which your dentist will recommend. Never rinse your aligners with hot water because this can cause them to distort. You should also avoid brushing them with a regular toothbrush and toothpaste because these are abrasive and can damage the surface of the aligner, which will provide a place for bacteria to grow.
Most patients choose Invisalign because they want a more discreet treatment option. Invisalign aligner trays are nearly invisible, making your treatment convenient. Since you can remove Invisalign, you will not need to eliminate foods from your diet. Patients also enjoy that Invisalign is comfortable because it does not require sharp brackets.
